The InDesign file used to create the core book, with its styles, fonts, and background images is included in this download. 

What can I make?

Anything!

• Expanded content (more random tables!)
• New subsystems (gardening mini-game! pipeweed effects!)
• Cozy scenarios (not “adventures,” certainly!)
• Play aids (art! ludological essays! calendar assets! hex maps! new character sheets!)

The mechanics and setting for Under Hill, By Water can be used by ANYONE to make ANYTHING, in perpetuity, forever. You can sell it, give it away, keep it secret, keep it safe, whatever you want. 

What do I need to do?

The only legal requirement you have in using this template kit is putting a credit to Nancy Lorenz for use of their Hobbiton Brushhand font (included). 

If you do make something, all I ask is that you include the following text somewhere on your page: "This game is grown from Under Hill, By Water designed by Josh McCrowell. This game is not affiliated with the original author."

You would be considered a halfling of upstanding taste and decency if you released the content you created under the Creative Commons ShareAlike license as well.
