Supplements from the Community

This is a master list of all the Under Hill, By Water content that has come from the community. I will keep this list updated as new supplements come out.

All games hosted on Itch can be found in this collection.

  • Auntie Everline by Evlyn Moreau introduces a spider NPC that serves as a wonderfully monstrous neighbor to the PCs. Living just over the Hedge, she provides the PCs aid in a cool way: you help her out with tasks so the GM can noodle on answers to the questions you’ve asked her.

  • A Collection of Things That Most Certainly Are Not by Wayspell is a bestiary written in-character by the adventurous (feh) halfling Unreliable Wanderfoot. It is a hand-drawn supplement that provides pictures and stats for a variety of creatures beyond the Hedge.

  • Feathertop by Ivan Pawle outlines the hilltop halfling community of Feathertop and introduces the mystery Foul Play at Feathertop, utilizing mechanics from Brindlewood Bay.

  • Hearth & Hillside Home by Into the Weird Blue Yonder contains additional randomizers to infuse your village with color and texture. This includes lists of fancy food (you prefer 11 meals a day, if you can get them), rumors of things outside the Hedge, and more!

  • How Hard Could It Be by Seedling Games introduces a crafting mechanic to the game that is infinitely expandable. The basic mechanic balances misfortune against progress. If you’re running Under Hill, By Water a lot and want to measure the PCs’ long-term progress for their tasks around their village, this is a smart way to do it.

  • Of Mushrooms Meet & Marvelous by Kris Goldsmith is a scenario (not adventure, certainly) provides the PCs the opportunity to enter the yearly Harvest Faire. To win the top prize, the players have to find a way to get the best mushrooms in the Vale out of the fields of mean ol’ Farmer Worm.

  • Over Snow, By Winter Sown by Al Smith and Seth Dodge introduces several evocative random tables to keep your game fresh, including additional Worrisome Things, Current Events, Complications, and NPCs. Some of the events and NPCs are influenced by Yuletide themes and Tolkien’s Letters to Father Christmas, making it a great choice for wintery evenings.

  • A Stockade of Stocks by Groakette provides six (6!) additional stocks of small folk - including gnomes, hobs, and fey - in addition to the three halflings stocks of the core book.

  • The Title Escapes Me, But It Involves Carving Vegetables by Depths Unknown allows players to engage in the jack o’ lantern equivalent of The Great British Bakeoff. This is a perfect example of a low-stakes, hijinks filled non-adventure.

  • Under Hill Hole by Xploring Map is a map of a cozy halfling home!

All of these supplements are either inexpensive or free, and all are well worth your time and money.
